3. Remove the filter (A) from the housing (B), and replace the filter.

4. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the
evaporator.
BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1. Remove the glove box and the passenger's kick panel (see GLOVE BOX
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
2. Remove the wire harness connector clips (A), the wire harness clip (B), and bolt. Cut the plastic cross
brace (C) in the glove box opening with diagonal cutters in the area shown.

3. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the blower motor, the floor wire harness, and the recirculation
control motor, then remove the wire farness clips (B) and the connector clips (C). Remove the mounting
nuts, the mounting bolts and the blower unit (D).

4. Install the unit in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leakage.
BLOWER UNIT COMPONENT REPLACEMENT
Note these items when overhauling the blower unit:
z
The recirculation control motor (A), the blower motor (B), and the dust and pollen filter (C) can be
replaced without removing the blower unit.
z
Before reassembly, make sure that the recirculation control linkage and doors move smoothly without
binding.
z
After reassembly, make sure the recirculation control motor runs smoothly (see RECIRCULATION
