8. Tilt the front seat forward and disconnect the side
airbag connector (A) and seat wire harness
connector (B).
Driver’s manual height adjustable seat disconnect
the seat belt switch connector (C) and seat position
sensor harness (D).
With navigation system: Disconnect the navigation
unit connectors (E) and GPS antenna harness
connector (F).
NOTE: The driver’s 10-way power seat is shown;
the passenger’s manual seat and the driver’s
manual height adjustable seat are similar.
9. Install the seat in the reverse order of removal, and
note these items:
• Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to
the front seat mounting bolts before
reinstallation.
• Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
• Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
• Tighten the seat mounting bolts to the specified
torque in the sequence shown. Slide the seat all
the way back and tighten

, then slide it
forward and tighten

. The driver’s seat is
shown; the passenger’s seat is symmetrical.
• Enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system
and the navigation system (if equipped).
• Set the clock (on vehicles without navigation).
• Do the power window control unit reset
procedure (see page 22-209).

Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857
SRS components are located in this area. Review the
SRS component locations (see page 24-14) and the
precautions and procedures (see page 24-16) before
doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
• Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to
avoid damage when prying components.
• Take care not to tear the seams or damage the seat
covers.
• Put on gloves to protect your hands.
• DTC codes will set it the ignition is turned ON (II) with
the seats removed.
1. Remove the front seat (see page 20-97).
2. Driver’s 10-way power seat: Remove the clip and
release the hooks (A), then remove the inner cover
(B).
3. Remove the center cover (A).
–1 Remove the clip (B), and detach the clip (C).
–2 Pull up the cover, then release the hooks (D, E).

4. Driver’s 10-way power seat: Remove the center
cover (A).
–1 Remove the screw.
–2 Pull up the cover, then release the hooks
(B, C, D).
5. Driver’s 10-way power seat: Remove the screw and
release the hooks (A), then remove the front cover
(B).
6. Remove the recline cover (A).
–1 Gently pull out along the bottom to release the
hooks (B), then remove the cap (C).
–2 Remove the bolts (D), then remove the height
handle (E) and screw (F).
–3 Remove the recline knob (G) and clips (H), and
detach the clip (I).
–4 Pull up the cover, then release the hooks (J, K).

7. Driver’s 10-way power seat: Remove the recline
cover (A).
–1 Remove the screws.
–2 Pull up the cover, then release the hooks (B, C).
–3 Disconnect the recline switch and up-down
switch connector (D), lumbar support switch
connector (E).
–4 Detach the harness clips (F) from the recline
cover.
8. From under the seat cushion, disconnect the seat-
back heater connector (A) lumbar support switch
connector (B) and recline motor subharness
connector (C), then detach the connector clip.
Detach the side airbag connector clip (D), OPDS/
ODS unit connector clip (E), seat weight sensor
connectors (F). Release the hook springs (G) and
seat cushion cover (H), pull the cover back, and
remove the wire ties (I).
