• Item 6: Output Shaft Speed Sensor.
• When driving at constant speed of 50 km/h, the dis-
play should be "1,900
− 2,100 r/min" (Gear range:
3rd gear).
(4) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Q: Is the sensor operating properly?

Data List Item 19: Stoplamp Switch System
.
CIRCUIT OPERATION
• Battery positive voltage is supplied to the
stoplamp switch (terminal 2).
• When the brake pedal is depressed, battery posi-
tive voltage is applied to the ENGINE-ECU con-
nector B-21 (terminal 18).
.
DTC SET CONDITIONS
If the stoplamp switch is on for five minutes or more
while driving above 50 km/h, or all of the stop light
bulbs are blown, it is judged there is a short circuit or
open circuit in the stoplamp switch. This causes Item
19 to be set.
.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (THE MOST
LIKELY CAUSES FOR THIS CODE TO BE
SET ARE:)
• Malfunction of the stoplamp switch
• Malfunction of stoplamp switch plunger
• Damaged harness or connector
