SENSOR CABLE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)

2. Make a cut in the grommet in the place shown in the
illustration, and pass the sensor cable through the cut.
3. Run the sensor cable along the front wiring harness, and
then secure the cable to the harness with insulation tape.
4. Apply the specified sealant inside the grommet.
5. Exchange the terminal of the front wiring harness connector
C-17 (Female side connector) shown in the illustration with
the terminal of the sensor cable shown in the illustration.

POST-INSTALLATION INSPECTION
1. Reconnect the negative (
−) battery cable.
2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
3. Does the "SRS" warning light illuminate for approximately 7
seconds, and then remain off for at least 5 seconds after
turning "OFF?"
4. If yes, SRS system is functioning properly. If no, refer to
"SRS Diagnosis" on
