Pairing of the bluetooth

®device (mobile phone or music player) and hands free ECU cannot be made.

The hands free ECU does not recognize the bluetooth

®device (mobile phone or music player).

Calling cannot be made using the hands free cellular phone function.

Bluetooth

®The music player cannot be replayed.

The music data received from the USB adapter cannot be replayed.

Cause

SOLUTION

The power of the
bluetooth

®device is off.

With the power of the bluetooth

®device turned on, check the trouble

symptom again.

In addition to the
bluetooth

®device to be

recognized, two or more
bluetooth

®device exist in the

vehicle.

• With the voice operation, select the device to be connected.

• Select the device to be connected on the multivision display.

Power supply abnormality in
the hands free ECU, or
communication error
between the the radio and
CD player or multivition
display, and hands free
ECU.

Turn the electric motor switch to the "ON" position and check if iPod
connected to the USB adapter or USB device can be played. If the music
cannot be played, the power supply of hands free ECU or the communication
between the the radio and CD player or multivition display, and hands free
ECU may have a problem. Perform the Inspection procedure 2: The USB
memory device data cannot be replayed (Refer to

P.54A-414

<vehicles with

radio and CD player> or

P.54A-415

<vehicles with MMCS>). If the diagnosis

mode of hands free ECU can be made an entry, the module status can be
checked by the hands free ECU self-check, however, if the power supply of
hands free ECU, or the communication with the the radio and CD player or
multivition display may have a problem, the module status can not be
checked (Refer to

P.54A-403

<vehicles with radio and CD player> or

P.54A-

<vehicles with MMCS>).

Cause

SOLUTION

The Bluetooth

® connection

is not made between the
hands free ECU and
bluetooth

®device.

Connect the bluetooth

®device to the hands free ECU via Bluetooth®.

The vehicle is not located in
the communication area of
the cellular phone.

Check the radio wave condition of the cellular phone shown on the display, or
check the radio wave condition shown on the cellular phone itself.

AUDIO communication error
between the hands free ECU
and the the radio and CD
player or multivition display.

Check if the data of music file sent to the hands free ECU can be replayed. If
there are no problems, the communication between the hands free ECU and
the the radio and CD player or multivition display may have a problem.
