DOOR ENTRY FUNCTION

Due to the abolishment of the unlock sensor for the
door outside handle (driver's/passenger's side), the
lock switch has been changed to a lock and unlock
switch. The unlock/lock control has been changed.
The other service procedures are the same as
before.

.

UNLOCKING OPERATION OF DOOR
ENTRY FUNCTION

The keyless operation key and KOS-ECU communi-
cate to certify the keyless operation key when the
lock/unlock switch on the driver-side/front passen-
ger-side door outside handle or the liftgate lock
release handle is turned ON. When KOS-ECU certi-
fies the registered keyless operation key on the outer
side of the vehicle, it requests ETACS-ECU to unlock
the doors and the liftgate.

CONTROL OF UNLOCKING OPERATION

.

UNLOCKING OPERATION INHIBITION
TIME (WHEN THE LIFTGATE IS
OPERATED)

Considering that the customer operates the lock
switch of liftgate lock release handle to make sure
the doors are locked, the unlocking operation is pro-
hibited for 3 seconds after the locking operation is
performed by the lock switch of liftgate lock release
handle.

.

LOCKING OPERATION OF DOOR ENTRY
FUNCTION

The keyless operation key and KOS-ECU communi-
cate to certify the keyless operation key when the
lock/unlock switch on the driver-side/front passen-
ger-side door outside handle or the liftgate lock
release handle (lock switch) is turned ON. When
KOS-ECU certifies the registered keyless operation
key only on the outer side of the vehicle, it requests
ETACS-ECU to lock all the doors and the liftgate.
Dead lock function locks all the doors and liftgate,
when the lock/unlock switch of door outside handle
(driver's/passenger's side) is pressed once.
NOTE: When a keyless operation key is located
inside the vehicle, KOS-ECU does not output a
request for locking all the doors.
