Probable causes
Inspection Conditions
• For at least 3 minutes after engine has fully started
• Engine cooling water temperature at least 82ºC
• Volumetric efficiency at least 25%
• Engine speed at least 1200rpm
Evaluation conditions
• With O2 sensor output voltage 0.2V or less, and 5V applied to O2- sensor
inside engine ECU, sensor output voltage at least 4.5V
• O2 sensor malfunction
• O2 sensor circuit broken, short-circuit, or poor
connector contact
• Engine ECU malfunction
