*ALL DOOR LOCK OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND (CONTINUED)
4.
CHECK THE (P392) DOOR LOCK DRIVER RIGHT DOORS CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (G778) DOOR
UNLOCK DRIVER RIGHT DOORS CIRCUIT
Measure the resistance between the (P392) Door Lock Driver Right
Doors circuit and the (G778) Door Unlock Driver Right Doors circuit.
Is the resistance below 1.6 ohms?
No
>> Go To 5
Yes
>> Repair the (P392) Door Lock Driver Right Doors circuit for
a short to the (G778) Door Unlock Driver Right Doors cir-
cuit.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8
- ELECTRICAL/POWER LOCKS - DIAGNOSIS AND
TESTING)
5.
CHECK THE (P393) DOOR LOCK DRIVER LEFT DOORS CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P5) DOOR
UNLOCK DRIVER LEFT REAR CIRCUIT
Measure the resistance between the (P393) Door Lock Driver Left
Doors circuit and the (P5) Door Unlock Driver Left Rear circuit.
Is the resistance below 1.6 ohms?
No
>> Go To 6
Yes
>> Repair the (P393) Door Lock Driver Left Doors circuit for a
short to the (P5) Door Unlock Driver Left Rear circuit.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8
- ELECTRICAL/POWER LOCKS - DIAGNOSIS AND
TESTING)

CHECK THE (P393) DOOR LOCK DRIVER LEFT DOORS CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P1) DOOR
UNLOCK DRIVER LEFT FRONT CIRCUIT
Measure the resistance between the (P393) Door Lock Driver Left
Doors circuit and the (P1) Door Unlock Driver Left Front circuit.
Is the resistance below 2.5 ohms?
No
>> Replace the Cluster in accordance with the Service Infor-
mation.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8
- ELECTRICAL/POWER LOCKS - DIAGNOSIS AND
TESTING)
Yes
>> Repair the (P393) Door Lock Driver Left Doors circuit for a
short to the (P1) Door Unlock Driver Left Front circuit.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8
- ELECTRICAL/POWER LOCKS - DIAGNOSIS AND
TESTING)

Possible Causes
(G778) DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER RIGHT DOORS CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
(P5) DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER LEFT REAR CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
(G778) DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER RIGHT DOORS SHORT TO (P392) DOOR LOCK DRIVER RIGHT DOORS
(P393) DOOR LOCK DRIVER LEFT DOORS SHORT TO (P5) DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER LEFT REAR
CLUSTER
Theory of Operation
The Door Unlock Driver Right Doors circuit and the Door Unlock Driver Left Rear circuits are connected together
inside the module. Therefore any circuit that is connected to either one can cause this problem.
Diagnostic Test
1.
CHECK FOR TROUBLE CODES
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC’s.
Does the scan tool display: any Body related DTC’s
No
>> Go To 2
Yes
>> Refer to the symptom list and repair any DTC’s before
proceeding.
