Diagnostic Test
1.
Perform Body Verification Test
Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected
components and connectors.
Ensure that all accessories are turned off.
Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs from all modules.
If repairs were made to any of the HVAC door actuator circuits, with
the scan tool in HVAC, select System Tests and then select Actuator
DTC Detection. The test must pass before proceeding to the next
step.
If repairs were made to any of the HVAC doors, linkage, door actua-
tors, or door actuator circuits, with the scan tool in HVAC, select Sys-
tem Tests and then select Actuator Calibration Test. The test must
pass before proceeding to the next step.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, and then turn the ignition on.
Operate all functions of the system that caused the original concern.
With the scan tool, select ECU View.
Check for DTCs in the modules.
Are DTCs present in any of the modules or is the original con-
dition still present?
Yes
>> The repair is not complete. Refer to the related category
for the DTC or symptom that is still present.
No
>> The repair is complete.

BODY VERIFICATION TEST – VER 1
Diagnostic Test
1.
Perform Power Seat System Verification Test
Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected
components and connectors.
Ensure that all accessories are turned off.
Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
Turn the ignition on.
If either the Seat Memory Module or the Driver Horizontal Seat
Adjuster Motor/Seat Track was replaced, the MSM Standard Routine
must be performed using the scan tool.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs from all modules.
Operate the driver seat in all positions.
With the Memory Switch on the Driver’s Door, program the Driver’s
Seat #1 Button to a desired position and Driver #2 Button to a differ-
ent position.
Verify that both Memory positions can be recalled from the RKE trans-
mitter and the Memory Switch on the Driver’s Door.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, and then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, select ECU View.
Check for DTCs in the modules.
Are DTCs present in any of the modules or is the original con-
dition still present?
Yes
>> The repair is not complete. Refer to the related category
for the DTC or symptom that is still present.
No
>> The repair is complete.

POWER SEATS - SERVICE INFORMATION
DESCRIPTION
POWER SEAT SYSTEM
The power seat system allows the driver and front
seat passenger to electrically adjust their seating posi-
tions using the power seat switches located on the
outboard seat cushion side shield of each front seat.
A driver side eight-way power seat is standard on
highline models and optional on others. The power
seat includes a six-way adjustable seat cushion track
and a two-way power seat back. The eight-way power
seat is also available with the heated seat and mem-
ory seat system that automatically positions the power
seat for two different drivers (Refer to 8 - ELECTRI-
CAL/HEATED SEATS - DESCRIPTION ) and MEM-
ORY SEAT SYSTEM below.
