When Monitored:
Continuously
•
Set Condition:
Whenever the Mirror Switch Supply circuit is below 6.8 volts for over 2 seconds, this code will set.
Possible Causes
PCM BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW DTC
(P550) MIRROR SWITCH SUPPLY CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND
MIRROR SWITCH
DRIVER MEMORY MIRROR MODULE
Theory of Operation
On vehicles with the memory system, the Mirror Switch receives its power supply from the Driver Memory Mirror
Module. When this code is logged in the Passenger Memory Mirror Module, it has received a bus message from the
Driver Module that the power supply for the mirror switch is low. There are no repairs for the passenger side. All
repairs are done to the driver side.
Diagnostic Test
1.
TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC’s
Operate the driver mirror several times from the mirror switch
Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC’s.
Does the scan tool display SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
LOW?
Yes
>> Go To 2
No
>> The conditions that caused this code to set are not
present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic
as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.

CHECK ENGINE DTC’s
With the scan tool, read engine DTC’s
Does the scan tool display any BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW
related DTC’s?
Yes
>> Refer to the symptom list for problems related to ENGINE.
No
>> Go to 3
3.
MIRROR SWITCH SHORTED
Disconnect the Mirror Switch connector.
Measure the voltage between the (P550) Mirror Switch Supply circuit
and ground.
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
Yes
>> Replace the Mirror Switch.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No
>> Go to 4
4.
(P550) MIRROR SWITCH SUPPLY CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT
TO GROUND
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Memory Mirror Module connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (P550) Mirror Switch
Supply circuit.
Is the resistance below 5000.0 ohms?
Yes
>> Repair the (P550) Mirror Switch Supply circuit for a short
to ground.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No
>> Replace the Driver Memory Mirror Module.

Set Condition:
When the Door Lock Switch Mux circuit or the Memory Select Switch Mux circuit is above 5.25 volts for
over 30 msec.
Possible Causes
(G161) DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX WIRE SHORT TO VOLTAGE
(P339) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH MUX WIRE SHORT TO VOLTAGE
WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH
DRIVER MEMORY MIRROR MODULE
Theory of Operation
This code will only set in vehicles that have the Memory System. The supply circuit for the Memory Mirrors are
supplied by the Driver Memory Mirror Module, therefore both the Memory Select Switch Mux or the Door Lock
Switch Mux circuits can cause this DTC.
Diagnostic Test
1.
TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC’s
Press the Memory Selector Switch several time in all positions.Cycle
the ignition from on to off 3 times.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC’s.
Does the scan tool display MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT
HIGH?
Yes
>> Go To 2
No
>> The conditions that caused this code to set are not
present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic
as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
