Connect rear seatback power return control unit connector.

2.

Check voltage between rear seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 6.

NO

>> Replace rear seatback power return control unit. Refer to

SE-105, "Removal and Installation"

.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to

GI-38, "Intermittent Incident"

.

Turn ignition OFF.

Disconnect power return switch (RH) connector.

NO

>> Replace power return switch (RH). Refer to

SE-109, "Removal and Installation"

CHECK FUNCTION

Check that the rear seatback (LH) rises when pressing and holding the rear seatback switch (LH) in UP direc-
tion.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Rear seatback switch (LH) is OK.

NO

SE-20, "LH : Diagnosis Procedure"

CHECK REAR SEATBACK POWER RETURN CONTROL UNIT INPUT SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check voltage between rear seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Rear seatback switch (LH) is OK.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

CHECK REAR SEAT BACK SWITCH (LH) CIRCUIT

1.

Disconnect rear seatback power return control unit connector and rear seatback switch (LH) connector.

2.

Check continuity between rear seatback power return control unit harness connector and rear seatback
switch (LH) harness connector.

3.

Check continuity between rear seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

3.

CHECK REAR SEATBACK SWITCH (LH) GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity rear seatback switch (LH) harness connector and ground.

CHECK REAR SEATBACK POWER RETURN CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL

1.

Connect rear seatback power return control unit connector.

2.

Check voltage between rear seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 6.

NO

>> Replace rear seatback power return control unit. Refer to

SE-105, "Removal and Installation"

.

6.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to

GI-38, "Intermittent Incident"
