Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION procedure.
NO
Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and
ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending,
corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to
"VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.
TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical
damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination,
deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
YES
Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.
NO
Go to POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION procedure.
POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION
1. Motor Power circuit Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect outside mirror switch and front power seat switch.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "1" of DDM and chassis ground.
Specification :Approx. infinity ohms

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION" procedure.
NO
Check for short in power harness. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF
VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.
COMPONENT INSPECTION
1. Check illumination
1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Select `ACTUATION TEST' mode on scan tool and press [F1] to start

4. Dose illumination lamp work properly?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Substitute with a known-good left outside mirror and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace left outside mirror and then go to "VERIFICATION OF
VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.
2. Check DDM
1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Substitute with a known-good DDM and Check if the DTC is erased.
4. Is the DTC erased?
YES
Substitute with a known-good DDM and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace DDM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE
REPAIR" procedure.
NO
Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,
or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR"
procedure.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
DDM is a node of CAN communication system which consists of IPM, FAM, RAM, ADM, IMS. Main
function of DDM is lock/unlock of door and window, adjusting position and fold/unfold of outside mirror.
Beside that, for the convenience of driver in dark area, DDM controls all sorts of switch illumination (outside
mirror s/w, front power seat s/w etc.) and door lamp.
DTC DESCRIPTION
The ECM sets DTC B2529 if there's short circuit in driver door lamp circuit harness.

MONITOR DTC STATUS
1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".
3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter.
4. Is the DTC B2529 present?
YES
Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION procedure.
NO
