Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and
ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending,
corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to
"VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.
TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION
Refer to DTC B2119.
POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION
1. Check open in power circuit
1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".
2. Measure the resistance between headlamp low power circuit of FAM (BCM-FE-55)and headlamp
(E21-1).
Specification: 0 ohms

3. Is the measured resistance within the specification?
YES
Go to "GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION".
NO
Repair open in power circuit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR".

GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION
1. Check open in ground circuit
1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".
2. Measure the resistance between Left turn signal lamp ground circuit (E21-3) and chassis ground.
Specification: 0 ohms

3. Is the measured resistance within the specification?
YES
Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION".
NO
Repair open in ground circuit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR".

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Refer to DTC B2535.
DTC DESCRIPTION
The ECM sets DTC B2559 if short to ground in Right fog lamp circuit is detected.
DTC DETECTING CONDITION
Refer to DTC B2543.
MONITOR DTC STATUS
1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF" & FAM: "ON".
3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)"mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter.

4. Is the DTC B2559 present?
YES
Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION.
NO

2. Disconnect fog lamp.
3. Measure the resistance between fog lamp power circuit of FAM (BCM-FE-3) and chassis ground.
Specification: infinity ohms

4. Is the measured resistance within the specification?
YES
Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION".
NO
Repair short to ground in power circuit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR".
COMPONENT INSPECTION
1. Check fog lamp
1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".
2. Disconnect fog lamp low light bulb.
3. Measure the resistance between both terminals of fog lamp low light bulb.
