Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION.

NO

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and
ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending,
corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to
"VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.

TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION

Refer to DTC B2119.

COMPONENT LOCATION

Refer to DTC B1910.

GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION

1. Check open in ground circuit

1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".

2. Measure the resistance between wind shield defogger (E04-1) and chassis ground.

Specification: 0 ohms

3. Is the measured resistance within the specification?

YES

Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION".

NO

Repair open in ground circuit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR".

DTC DESCRIPTION

The ECM sets DTC 62551 if short to ground in Right headlamp low circuit is detected.

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Refer to DTC B2543.

MONITOR DTC STATUS

1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).

2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF" & FAM: "ON".

3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)"mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter.

4. Is the DTC B2551 present?

YES

Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION.

NO

POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION

1. Check short in power circuit

1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".

2. Disconnect headlamp.

3. Measure the resistance between headlamp low power circuit of FAM (BCM-FE-60) and chassis

ground.

Specification: infinity ohms

4. Is the measured resistance within the specification?

YES

Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION".

NO

Repair short to ground in power circuit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR".

COMPONENT INSPECTION

1. Check headlamp

1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".

2. Disconnect headlamp low light bulb.

3. Measure the resistance between both terminals of headlamp low light bulb.

Specification: approx. 0.04 ohms

(If light bulb fails, infinity ohms is measured.)

4. Is the measured resistance within the specification?

YES

Go to step 2.

NO

Replacing the light bulb with `light bulb for test', if normal operating condition is confirmed,
Replace `light bulb for test' with `new light bulb' and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE
REPAIR
".
