Remove seat belt buckle. Refer to

SB-23, "SEAT BELT BUCKLE : Removal and Installation"

.

5.

Remove seat cushion frame fixing bolts

, and then remove seat cushion and seatback as a set.

6.

Remove hinge bolts

, and then remove seat cushion.

Disengage seat cushion fixing retainers

, and then remove seat cushion trim and seat cushion pad as a

set.

8.

Remove seat cushion silencer.

9.

Remove hog rings, and then separate seat cushion trim and seat cushion pad.

CAUTION:

Before performing separating operation, check the installation position of hog rings.

10. Remove the following parts after removing seat cushion trim and pad.

Hinge Cover Inner

• Remove hinge cover inner fixing clips

, and then remove

hinge cover inner.

Reclining Device Cover Center

1.

Remove reclining device cover center fixing screws

.

2.

Disengage reclining device cover center fixing metal clip,
and then remove reclining device cover center.

ASSEMBLY

Note the following items, and then assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION:

• For hog ring that is removed or crimped unsuccessfully, fix it by using a new hog ring. (Never reuse

hog ring.)

• Always install the hog rings in position.

WARNING:

Injury may occur if third seat is not supported with appropriate material when removing third seat.

Use remover tool (A) to lift metal spring

, and then remove the

assist stay and metal spring from the stud ball portion

as a

unit.

3.

Similarly, disengage other side, and then remove assist stay.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

ASSIST STAY : Disposal

1.

Fix assets stay

using a vise (C).

2.

Using hacksaw (A) slowly make 2 holes in the assist stay, in
numerical order 1

→

2 as shown in the figure.

CAUTION:

• When cutting a hole on assist stay, always cover a hack-

saw using a shop cloth (B) to avoid scattering metal frag-
ments or oil.

• Wear eye protection (safety glasses).
• Wear gloves.

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

When removing and installing, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.

1.

Remove the front seat. Refer to

SE-41, "Removal and Installation"

.

2.

Remove the seat cushion outside finisher outerside.

3.

Disconnect power seat switch connector.

4.

Remove power seat switch mounting screws

.

5.

Remove harness clip and remove power seat switch

from

seat cushion outside finisher.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.
