• Average fuel consumption on the information display is updated approximately every 30 seconds.
• Soon after a reset or when the ignition switch is turned ON right after battery removal and installation, “

Distance To Empty

The combination meter calculates distance to empty based on the following signals, and the calculated value
is displayed on the information display.

INTERRUPT INDICATION

Low Fuel Warning

• The combination meter displays a possible cruising distance by an interrupt and blinks the indications of the

fuel gauge and the possible cruising distance when all the following conditions are satisfied.

• The combination meter judges showing/hiding of “low fuel warning”, according to the signals below:

ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS ITEM

• Information display operation can be checked in self-diagnosis mode.
• Speedometer and tachometer (with tachometer models) can be checked in self-diagnosis mode.

METHOD OF STARTING

1.

Turn the ignition switch ON while pressing and holding the meter
control switch (1) for 0.8 seconds or more.

2.

Press the meter control switch at least 3 times. (Within 7 seconds after the ignition switch is turned ON.)

3.

The combination meter is turned to self-diagnosis mode.
• Speedometer and tachometer (with tachometer models) return to zero, simultaneously.
• All segments of the information display are displayed.

NOTE:
• Check combination meter power supply and ground circuit when the self-diagnosis mode of the combi-

nation meter does not start. Replace combination meter if power supply and ground circuit are normal.

• If any of the segments are not displayed, replace combination meter.

4.

Each meter activates by pressing the meter control switch.
