Installation

NOTES

Always keep the wheel speed sensor and ABS encoder
bearing away from magnetic fields. Items such as magnetic
parts trays, magnetic base dial indicators, alternator rotors,
etc. will damage sensor. Never pull wheel speed sensor
cable taut or use to retain wheel, axle or other compon-
ents.

Install wheel speed sensor with index pin on the outboard
side or sensor will be damaged during installation.

If brakes are not operating properly, testing at high speeds
can cause loss of control, which could result in death or

a.

Turn ignition switch ON. Pump brake hand lever to
verify operation of the brake lamp.

Test ride the motorcycle. If the brakes feel spongy,
