Fan Clutch Holder

Removal & Installation Procedure

1. Remove the engine hanger bracket bolts.

Installation

2. Remove the engine hanger bracket.

3. Remove the cooling fan bolts.

Installation

4. Hold the cooling fan pulley using the fan clutch holder

A9910 0150A (603 589 00 40 00).

5. Remove the viscous clutch mounting bolts and viscous

clutch.

Installation

Important

There are two chambers in the viscous clutch. Be
sure to make the viscous clutch stand on the ground
not to flow silicone oil into another chamber in the
viscous clutch. Do not lay down the clutch.

6. Installation should follow the removal procedure in the

reverse order.

Tightening torque

9 ~ 11 Nm

(80 ~ 97 lb-in)

Tightening torque

22.5 ~ 27.5 Nm

(16.6 ~ 20.3 lb-ft)

Tightening torque

40.5 ~ 49.5 Nm

(29.8 ~ 36.5 lb-ft)

Removal & Installation Procedure

1. Pull out the 2 clips (1) from the fan shroud assembly.

2. Remove the lower fan shroud (2).

Notice

For installation, exactly align the lower fan shroud
pin into the hole of the fan shroud assembly (4) and
insert the clips.

3. Remove the bolts (3) and then remove the cooling fan

shroud assembly (4).

Installation

4. Installation should follow the removal procedure in the

reverse order.

Tightening torque

3 ~ 7 Nm

(27 ~ 62 lb-in)
