Coming out of hibernation mode

Do not connect the vehicle before step
5 and carry out each step in order.

1.

Position the hibernation key in the switch.

Turn it to the left.

2.

Check the message displayed: the screen

asks you to turn the key.

3.

Turn the ignition key to the first position. The

vehicle wakes up.

4.

Switch off and remove the ignition key. The

screen display is then as shown,

5.

Plug in the charging cable.

Check for the rapid flashing of the green LED,
confirming that the battery is charging.

Leave your vehicle on charge for the period
displayed so that it is 100% operational.

Never disconnect the charging cable
while the green LED is flashing rapidly
(a minimum of 4 hours).

You have to be in possession of the
charging cable and be able to connect
your vehicle to a power supply to
be able to wake the vehicle from
hibernation.

Wait a few seconds. The hazard warning lamps
flash several times and the boot locks and
unlocks.

Range

The range of the vehicle has been type-
approved to European Regulation ECE 101R01.
In real use, several factors will vary the range
of an electric vehicle; you have some control
over these and so can make noticeable
improvements in the range.

These factors are:
● speed and driving style
● road profile
● temperature settings
● tyres
● use of electrical accessories
● vehicle loading

Advice
● drive at constant speed
● adapt your driving style to avoid heavy

energy consumption

● make use of energy recovery: anticipate

early the slowing of traffic by taking
your foot off the accelerator or braking
progressively

Speed and driving style

High speed reduces the range of the vehicle.
Sporty driving reduces the range of the vehicle:
adopt a smooth driving style.

Road profile

On a hill, rather than trying to maintain your
speed, do not depress the accelerator pedal
more than on level ground: rather, keep the
accelerator pedal in the same position.

Temperature setting

Using the heating or air conditioning reduces
the range of the vehicle.

Tyres

Low tyre pressures increase energy
consumption.
Observe the tyre pressures recommended for
your vehicle.
When replacing tyres, give preference to tyres
of the same brand, size, type and structure as
the original fitment.
Using tyres of different characteristics
significantly reduces the range of the vehicle.

Vehicle loading

Avoid carrying unnecessary loads in or on the
vehicle.

Braking system

Your E-MEHARI is fitted with two braking
system:
- An energy recovery braking system
- A hydraulic braking system

Energy recovery braking
system

The level of regeneration braking helping the
hydraulic braking depends on the state of
charge of the LMP

®

battery.

If the state of charge of the LMP

®

battery is

100%, the energy recovery braking does not
intervene.

Hydraulic braking system

The hydraulic braking system is similar to that
used on conventional vehicles.

When driving on slippery surfaces, take
care when braking and accelerating.
Sudden braking could cause the wheels
to loose grip and lead to an accident
and serious injuries.
