CHECK CONNECTOR
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
3.
Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side
and harness side).
-
Harness connector E16
-
Harness connector M32
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 2.
NO
>> Repair the terminal and connector.
2.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
1.
Disconnect the following harness connectors.
-
ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)
-
Harness connectors E16 and M32
2.
Check the continuity between the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and the
harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair the main line between the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) and the harness
connector E16.
3.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
Check the continuity between the harness connector and the data link connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error)>>Check CAN system type decision again.
YES (Past error)>>Error was detected in the main line between the ABS actuator and electric unit (control
unit) and the data link connector.
NO
>> Repair the main line between the harness connector M32 and the data link connector.

Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 2.
NO
>> Repair the terminal and connector.
2.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
1.
Disconnect the following harness connectors.
-
Chassis control module
-
Harness connectors M15 and B19
2.
Check the continuity between the chassis control module harness connector and the harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair the main line between the chassis control module and the harness connector M15.
3.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
1.
Disconnect the connector of 4WD control unit.
2.
Check the continuity between the harness connector and the 4WD control unit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error)>>Check CAN system type decision again.
YES (Past error)>>Error was detected in the main line between the chassis control module and the 4WD
control unit.
NO
>> Repair the main line between the harness connector B19 and the 4WD control unit.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
1.
Disconnect the following harness connectors.
-
Harness connectors M42 and M137
-
Harness connectors M58 and R4
2.
Check the continuity between the harness connector terminals.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair the main line between the A/C auto amp. and the harness connector M58.
3.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
1.
Disconnect the connector of front camera unit.
2.
Check the continuity between the harness connector and the front camera unit harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error)>>Check CAN system type decision again.
YES (Past error)>>Error was detected in the main line between the A/C auto amp. and the front camera unit.
NO
>> Repair the main line between the harness connector R4 and the front camera unit.
4.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
1.
Disconnect the following harness connectors.
-
A/C amp.
-
Harness connectors M58 and R4
2.
Check the continuity between the A/C amp. harness connector and the harness connector.
