REMOVAL
CAUTION:
• To remove brake tube, use a flare nut wrench to prevent flare nuts and brake tube from being dam-
aged.
• Do not remove actuator by holding harness.
NOTE:
When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spill-
ing.
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Refer to
2. Remove cowl top. Refer to
EXT-25, "Removal and Installation"

3. Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
4. Separate brake tubes from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to

5. Remove ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) bracket bolts.
6. Remove ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) from vehicle.
INSTALLATION

B. To front RH brake caliper

ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT)
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
• After work is completed, bleed air from brake tube. Refer to
BR-16, "Bleeding Brake System"
• Adjust the neutral position of steering angle sensor. Refer to
• Perform calibration of the yaw rate/side/decel G sensor: Refer to
CAUTION:
• To install, use flare nut crowfoot and torque wrench.
• Do not apply excessive impact to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit), such as dropping it.
• Do not install actuator by holding harness.
• After installing harness connector in the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit), make sure
connector is securely locked.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the side stay cover from the center console assembly. Refer to
.
2. Disconnect the harness connector from the yaw rate/side/decel G sensor.
3. Remove the yaw rate/side/decel G sensor nuts.
4. Remove yaw rate/side/decel G sensor.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
• Perform calibration of the yaw rate/side/decel G sensor. Refer to
.
CAUTION:
• Do not use power tools on the yaw rate/side/decel G sensor because it is sensitive to the impact.
• Replace the yaw rate/side/decel G sensor if it has been dropped or sustained impact.
