Inspection 1: Tyre Pressure Monitoring Antenna

CHECK CONNECTOR
●
Disconnect tyre pressure monitoring control unit connector. Check terminals for damage or loose connec-
tions. Then reconnect connector.
●
Carry out self-diagnosis again.
Inspection results OK?
OK
>> INSPECTION END.
NG
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING ANTENNA (RECEIVER) CONNECTOR
●
Check tyre pressure monitoring antenna connector for damage or loose connections.
Inspection results OK?
OK
>> GO TO 3.
NG
>> Repair or replace tyre pressure monitoring antenna connector.
3.
CHECK TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING ANTENNA (RECEIVER) CIRCUIT
●
Check tyre pressure monitoring antenna circuit continuity.
Does continuity exit?
YES
>> Check tyre pressure monitoring sensor. GO TO “Inspection 2”
NO
>> Repair replace tyre pressure monitoring antenna circuit.
Inspection 2: Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensor

ID REGISTRATION
●
Carry out ID registration.
●
Drive the vehicle for 5 minutes or longer.
Does warning lamp activate?
YES
>> GO TO 2.
NO
>> INSPECTION END.
2.
REPLACE TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR
●
Replace the tyre pressure monitoring sensor of malfunctioning part.
Does warning lamp still activate again?
YES
>> GO TO “Inspection 3”.
NO
>> INSPECTION END.

Check “CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR” of the data monitor items.
>> After printing the monitor items, go to CAN SYSTEM. Refer to
WT-11, "CAN Communication Unit"

Inspection 1: Warning Lamp Does Not Come On When Ignition Switch Is Turned
On.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1.
CHECK SYSTEM CANCELLATION
●
Check the system ON/OFF on “TPMS CANCELLATION” in “WORK SUPPORT MODE” CONSULT-II.
Is the system canceled (OFF)?
YES
>>
●
Release the cancellation (select ON).
(NOTE: Make sure that the wheels with tyre pressure monitoring sensor are installed.)
NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK COMBINATION METER
●
Check combination meter operation.
Inspection results OK?
OK
>> GO TO 3.
NG
>> Check combination meter and repair or replace.
3.
CHECK WARNING LAMP
●
Disconnect low pressure monitoring control unit connector.
Does the warning lamp activate?
YES
>> Replace combination meter.
NO
>> GO TO 4.
4.
CHECK COMBINATION METER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
●
Check voltage between combination meter terminal No. 26
(LHD), No. 13 (RHD) and ground.
Does battery voltage exist?
YES
>> GO TO 5.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness and harness connector.
5.
CHECK COMBINATION METER GROUND CIRCUIT
●
Check continuity between combination meter terminal No. 23
(LHD), No. 10 (RHD) and ground.
Does continuity exist?
YES
>> Check combination meter.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness or connector.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
●
Check voltage between tyre pressure monitoring control unit ter-
minal No. 13 and ground.
●
Carry out self-diagnosis again.
Does battery voltage exit when ignition switch is turned “ON”?
YES
>> GO TO 2.
NO
>> Repair or replace power supply harness connector.
2.
CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
●
Check voltage between tyre pressure monitoring control unit ter-
minal 2 and ground.
Does battery voltage exist?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness connector.
3.
CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
●
Check continuity between tyre pressure monitoring control unit
terminal No. 6, No. 14 and ground.
●
Carry out self-diagnosis again.
Does continuity exist?
YES
>> Replace low tire pressure monitoring control unit.
NO
>> Repair or replace ground circuit harness connector.
Inspection 3: “TYRE PRESSURE” Information In Display Does Not Exist.

●
Check 10A fuse No. 12 for tyre pressure monitoring control unit.
Is fuse OK?
OK
>> GO TO 2.
NG
>> Replace fuse.
