This is a device located behind the

interior rear view mirror fig. 68, in

contact with the windscreen and can

measure the amount of rain and,

consequently, manage the automatic

wiping mode of the windscreen in

accordance with the amount of water

on the screen.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

33

68

F0V0721

The device is able to recognise,

and automatically adjust itself in the

presence of the following conditions:

presence of dirt on the surface (e.g.

salt, dirt, etc.);

presence of streaks of water caused

by the worn window wiper blades;

difference between day and night.

IMPORTANT Keep the window clean in

constant again and no longer depends

on the amount of rain, and the wipers

will keep moving even when it has

stopped raining.

Deactivation

The user can deactivated automatic

wiping by turning the ring-nut to a

setting other than AUTO.

correctly in the parking position.
To activate this function, move the lever

upwards (MIST position) for at least half

a second.
The command can be repeated up to a

maximum of three times.
The fourth repetition of the command

deactivates the function.
The activations are used to position

the wipers as preferred. The function is

deactivated when the car is turned on,

with a wiping request or when the car

is moving (speed above 5 Km/h).
IMPORTANT Make sure, when turning

on the car, that the windscreen is free

of snow or ice before turning the

ignition key.

Deactivation

The function is deactivated if:

2 minutes have passed since the

ignition device was set to STOP;

Air flow to the windscreen and front side window vents to demist or defrost them.
Air flow at central and side dashboard vents to ventilate the chest and the face during the hot season.
Air flow to the front and rear footwell vents. Thanks to the natural tendency of hot air to rise, this distribution pattern allows

the passenger compartment to warm up as quickly as possible, providing an immediate feeling of warmth.

Air flow distributed between footwell diffusers (hotter air) and central and side dashboard vents (cooler air). This

distribution mode is particularly useful in spring and autumn on sunny days.

Air flow distributed between the footwell vents and the windscreen and front side window defrosting/demisting vents.

This allows an adequate warming of the passenger compartment and prevents the windows from misting up.
