OK: Go to Next Step

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR

ECU)

a. Disconnect the J4 main body ECU connector.

b. Disconnect the J57 glass breakage sensor ECU connector.

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

MAIN BODY ECU - GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR ECU

Tester Connection

Condition Specified Condition

J4-17 (GBS) - J57-5 (GBS1)

Always

Below 1 ohms

J4-17 (GBS) or J57-5 (GBS1) - Body ground Always

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR ECU - GLASS

BREAKAGE SENSOR MICROPHONE)

a. Disconnect the J57 glass breakage sensor ECU connector.

b. Disconnect the J58 glass breakage sensor microphone connector.

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR ECU - GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR MICROPHONE

6. CHECK GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR ECU (GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR OUTPUT)

a. Reconnect the J57 glass breakage sensor ECU connector.

b. Reconnect the J58 glass breakage sensor microphone connector.

c. Reconnect the J4 main body ECU connector.

d. Turn the ignition switch ON.

e. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.
