1. INSPECT THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

a. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

If the result is not as specified, replace the throttle body with motor assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

a. Install a new gasket and the throttle body with motor with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)

b. Connect the throttle position sensor and throttle control motor connector.

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

2 (M+) - 1 (M-)

20°C (68°F)

0.3 to 100 ohms

5 (VC) - 3 (E2)

20°C (68°F)

1.2 to 3.2 kohms

c. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose.

d. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT . (See INSTALLATION ).

3. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE . (See INSTALLATION ).

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT . (See REPLACEMENT ).

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see
INITIALIZATION ).

6. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK . (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).

7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER . (See INTAKE SYSTEM ).

8. INSTALL FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . (See INTAKE SYSTEM ).

9. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

a. Install the front wiper motor and link assembly. (See INSTALLATION ).

10. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See INSTALLATION )

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR HOLDER BLOCK

a. Remove the 3 bolts and move the connector holder block so that the ECM can be removed in the

next step.

3. REMOVE ECM

a. Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the 2 levers.

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.
