h. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG: REPLACE NO. 2 FLOOR WIRE

OK: REPLACE DOOR WIRE RH

8. CHECK DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH

a. Interchange the door side airbag sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.

b. Connect the negative (-) terminal to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

c. Turn the ignition switch ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

d. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

e. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

f. Turn the ignition switch ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

g. Check for DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

h. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

i. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

j. Return the door side airbag sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the

connectors to them.

A: REPLACE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH (See SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (for
CrewMax)
)

B: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )

C: Go to next step

9. CHECK SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH

a. Interchange the side airbag sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.

b. Connect the negative (-) terminal to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

c. Turn the ignition switch ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

d. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

e. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

f. Turn the ignition switch ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

10. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS

a. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

b. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

c. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor, the side airbag sensor

LH and door side airbag sensor LH.

Result

OK: The connectors are properly connected.

NG: CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

OK: Go to next step

11. CHECK CONNECTORS

a. Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor and side airbag sensor LH.

b. Check that the connectors (on the center airbag sensor side, the side airbag sensor LH side and door

side airbag sensor LH side) are not damaged.

OK: The connectors are not deformed or damaged.

NG: REPLACE FLOOR WIRE

OK: Go to next step

12. CHECK DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH CIRCUIT

a. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

b. Turn the ignition switch ON.

c. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage

d. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

e. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

f. Disconnect the connectors from the side airbag sensor LH and door side airbag sensor LH.

g. Using a service wire, connect terminals 2 (BCL-) and 1 (BCL+) of connector B.

h. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance

NOTE:
