4. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE
a. Remove the cruise control switch wire.
b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
NOTE:
As the spiral cable may break, do not rotate the spiral cable
more than the specified amount.

OK: Go to Next Step
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE - ECM AND BODY GROUND)
a. Disconnect the J45 spiral cable connector.
b. Disconnect the A24 ECM connector.
c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

A: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT CIRCUIT
DESCRIPTION
The ECM detects a cruise control switch signal and sends it to the combination meter via CAN. Then the
CRUISE main indicator light comes on.
The CRUISE main indicator light circuit uses CAN for communication. If there is a malfunction in this
circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
a. Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

OK: Indicator light comes on / goes off.
NG: GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM
OK: Go to Next Step
2. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
a. Using the Techstream, read the Data List.
