3. Hold trip meter knob for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should indicate "000000" and MAINT REQD light

goes off. If system fails to reset, the MAINT REQD light will continue to flash. Repeat reset procedure.

1. Turn ignition key to LOCK position with odometer reading showing.

2. Turn ignition key to ON position while holding down on trip meter reset knob. A message MAINT

REQD RESET MODE will appear on display.

3. Hold trip meter knob for at least 5 seconds. A message COMPLETE will appear and beep will be heard.

If system fails to reset, repeat reset procedure.

1. OIL REPLACEMENT INFORMATION MODE RESET OPERATION

HINT:



The TRIP meter reset knob is located below the speedometer.



This reset operation is required only for U.S.A..

a. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

b. Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the ODO meter appears.

c. Turn the ignition switch off.

d. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) while pressing and holding the TRIP meter reset knob. Hold the

TRIP meter reset knob until the following conditions are met and 5 seconds have passed.



The multi-information display shows "Resetting Oil Maintenance Data".



When oil replacement reminder light turns off, the reset is complete.

1. To reset MAINT REQD light after engine oil replacement, turn ignition switch to OFF position with

odometer reading shown. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down ODO/TRIP reset
button on instrument cluster. See Fig. 2.

2. Hold down reset button until MAINT REQD light goes off. Before MAINT REQD light goes off, it will

illuminate for 3 seconds, flash for 2 seconds, illuminate again for one second. If system fails to reset,
MAINT REQD light will remain flashing.

1. At 12,000 mile intervals, OIL CHANGE light will come on as a reminder to change oil and oil filter.

After changing oil and filter, reset warning light mileage counter.

2. To reset mileage counter, remove plug from instrument panel faceplate below speedometer. Insert a small

punch or rod through plug hole and depress knob. See Fig. 3. Reset mileage counter after oil and filter
change even if light has not come on.

1. To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil replacement, press POWER switch to OFF mode, with

odometer reading showing. Press POWER switch twice to select IG-ON mode, while holding down trip
meter RESET button. RESET button is located next to emergency flasher.

2. Hold trip meter RESET button down for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should indicate "000000", and

MAINT reminder light goes out. If system fails to reset, light will remain flashing.

Maintenance Information

This system informs when to replace certain parts or components and shows dealer information (if registered)
on the screen. When the navigation system begins operating after either the information item's date comes or
driving information item's date comes or the driving distance reaches the "information" screen will be
displayed. This screen will appear every time the system is turned on until the "Do not display this message
again" switch has been touched.
