4. INSPECT FUEL PUMP ECU (FPC SIGNAL)
a. Disconnect the R7 fuel pump ECU connector.
b. Engine cranking.
c. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage

NG : REPLACE ECM (See REMOVAL )

OK : Go to next step
5. REPLACE FUEL PUMP ECU
a. Replace the fuel pump ECU. (See FUEL PUMP ECU ).
6. CONFIRM WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS
a. Check that there is 17 L or more of fuel remaining.
b. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
c. Turn the ignition switch ON.
d. Turn the Techstream ON.
e. Clear DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
f. Start the engine and idle it for 5 minutes.
g. Drive the vehicle in an urban area for approximately 10 minutes.
h. Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/Trouble Codes.
i. Read the DTCs.

a. Remove the circuit opening relay (C/OPN) from the engine room relay block (See ON-VEHICLE
INSPECTION ).
b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

NG : REPLACE CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY (C/OPN) (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )

8. INSPECT CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY (C/OPN) (POWER SOURCE VOLTAGE)
a. Remove the circuit opening relay (C/OPN) from the engine room relay block (See ON-VEHICLE
INSPECTION ).
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (C/OPN RELAY - ECM, FUEL PUMP ECU)
a. Remove the circuit opening relay (C/OPN) from the engine room relay block (See ON-VEHICLE
INSPECTION ).
b. Disconnect the R7 fuel pump ECU connector.
c. Disconnect the A24 ECM connector.
d. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
