INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER

a. Disconnect the K15 amplifier connector.

b. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

NG: Go to step 2

OK: REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER (see REMOVAL )

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT

AMPLIFIER)

a. Disconnect the K4 receiver connector.

b. Disconnect the K15 amplifier connector.

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection

Ignition switch ACC, Audio system is playing -->

A: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

AVC-LAN CIRCUIT

DESCRIPTION

Each unit of the audio system connected to the AVC-LAN (communication bus) transfers the signal of each
switch by communication.

When a short to +B or short to ground occurs in this AVC-LAN, the audio system will not function normally as
the communication is discontinued.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER

a. Disconnect the K4 and K22* receiver connectors.

b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

B: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER (see REMOVAL )
