2. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Bank 1)
a. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.
b. Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
c. Connect the sensor connector.
3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT . (See INSTALLATION ).
4. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE . (See INSTALLATION ).

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT . (See REPLACEMENT ).
7. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK . (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ). )
8. INSTALL V-BANK COVER . (See INSTALLATION ).
9. INSTALL FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . (See INSTALLATION ).
10. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the front wiper motor and link assembly. (See INSTALLATION ).
11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See INSTALLATION )

NOTE:
Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see
INITIALIZATION ).

REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )
3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See REMOVAL )
4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY . (See REMOVAL ).
5. DISCONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY . (See REMOVAL ).
6. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
a. Disconnect the sensor connector.
b. Remove the bolt and sensor.

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
a. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION
After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.
