1. CHECK INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (POWER SOURCE)

a. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.

b. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

c. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage

STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

NG : Go to step 6

OK : Go to Next Step

2. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

a. Inspect the fuel injector. (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).

NG : REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY . (See FUEL INJECTOR ).

OK : Go to Next Step

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM)

a. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.

b. Disconnect the ECM connector.

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK : Go to Next Step

4. REPLACE ECM

a. Replace the ECM (See REMOVAL ).

5. CHECK PROBLEM SYMPTOM DISAPPEARS

a. Check if the problem symptom disappears.

6. INSPECT FUSE (INJ)

a. Remove the INJ fuse from the engine room relay block.

b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG : CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO
FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE

OK : Go to Next Step

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - INTEGRATION

RELAY)

a. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.

b. Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

Problem symptom does not disappear
