INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

When U0123/62, U0124/69 or U0126/63 is output together with C1336/39, inspect and repair trouble areas
indicated by U0123/62, U0124/69 or U0126/63 first.

1. CHECK SENSOR USING TEST MODE PROCEDURE

a. Perform the test mode procedure (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE ).

b. Check if any of the test mode DTCs are recorded.

2. CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR INSTALLATION

a. Check that the yaw rate sensor has been installed properly (See INSTALLATION ).

OK: The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.

The sensor is not tilted.

NG: INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR CORRECTLY

OK: Go To Next Step

3. PERFORM DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION

a. Perform zero point calibration of the deceleration sensor (See CALIBRATION ).

4. RECONFIRM DTC

a. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

b. Start the engine.

c. Check if the same DTC is recorded (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

Result

RESULT TABLE

HINT:

The DTC is set if the zero point calibration has not been completed successfully.

End the procedure when the same DTC is not set after completion of the zero point
calibration.

DTC C1340/47: CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK CIRCUIT

DESCRIPTION

When the vehicle is changed to 4WD, VSC control turns off and the VSC OFF indicator illuminates.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

If the transfer shift actuator cannot change from 2WD to 4WD or 4WD to 2WD, inspect and repair the touch
select 2-4 and high-low system first.

1. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (EXI2 TERMINAL)

a. Disconnect the A17 ECU connector.

b. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

c. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (See

NG: Go to step 2

OK: REPLACE VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - 4WD CONTROL ECU)

a. Confirm that the skid control ECU connector and 4WD control ECU connector are properly

connected.

b. Disconnect the A17 and A25 ECU connectors.

c. Inspect both the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.

OK: No deformation or corrosion.

d. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
