Toyota Tundra. Manual — part 1483
HINT:
Due to the factors listed below, cold engine starting trouble, rough idle, poor driveability, and engine stall may
occur:
The vehicle is filled with fuel that has an alcohol concentration of 100% (E100).
The Data List item "Alcohol Density Learning" on the Techstream is "Incmpl" (if "Alcohol Density
Learning" is "Incmpl", this means that the alcohol concentration learning has not been completed).
"Alcohol Density Learning" does not change to "Incmpl" even though the vehicle is refueled (if the
amount refueled is 2 gallons or less, or the fuel sender gauge is malfunctioning, "Alcohol Density
Learning" may not change to "Incmpl"). The ECM does not perform alcohol concentration learning if
"Alcohol Density Learning" does not change to "Incmpl". If alcohol concentration learning is not
performed, the ECM cannot command the injectors to inject the appropriate amount of fuel for
combustion.

a. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
HINT:
The standard normal voltage between each pair of ECM terminals is shown in the table below. The
appropriate conditions for checking each pair of terminals are also indicated. The result of checks
should be compared with the standard normal voltage for that pair of terminals, displayed in the
Specified Condition column. The illustration above can be used as a reference to identify the ECM
terminal locations.
