7. CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION
a. Check that each part is installed properly.

8. INSTALL REAR DISC (See INSTALLATION )
9. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
a. Temporarily install the hub nuts.
b. Remove the hole plug.
c. Insert an adjustment tool into the adjustment hole of the disc. Rotate the adjustment wheel in the
"X" direction until the shoes are locked. Then rotate the adjustment wheel in the "Y" direction 8
notches.

d. Check that the disc can be rotated lightly. If not, rotate the adjustment wheel in the "Y" direction
and check again.
e. Install the hole plug.
f. Remove the hub nuts.
10. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Connect the rear disc brake cylinder with 2 new bolts.
Torque: 95 N*m (969 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf)
11. INSTALL REAR WHEEL LH
Torque: for Aluminum Wheel
131 N*m (1336 kgf*cm, 97 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:
Do not twist the brake hose.
Make sure that the bolts are free from damage and foreign
matter.
Do not overtighten the bolts.

209 N*m (2131 kgf*cm, 154 ft.*lbf)
12. SETTLE PARKING BRAKE SHOE AND DISC
a. Drive the vehicle for approximately 400 m (0.25 miles) under the following conditions.
1. Drive the vehicle at approximately 50 km/h (31 mph) on a safe, level and dry road.
2. Depress the parking brake pedal with a force of 150 N (15 kgf, 33.7 lbf).
b. Repeat the procedures above 2 or 3 times.
13. CHECK PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
14. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
PARKING BRAKE SWITCH
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY (see DISASSEMBLY )
2. CHECK PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the parking brake switch assembly.
3. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY (see DISASSEMBLY )
