REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )
3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See REMOVAL )
4. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID
5. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE

6. DISCONNECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR

7. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the pressure feed tube.
NOTE:
After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.
Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

b. Remove the gasket.
8. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 bolts and vane pump.

DISASSEMBLY
1. FIX VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
a. Using SST, hold the vane pump in a vise.
