STARTER RELAY

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REMOVE STARTER RELAY (ST)

Remove the engine room relay box cover

Remove the starter relay from the engine room relay block

INSPECT STARTER RELAY

a

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard resistance

If the result is not as specified, replace the relay

INSTALL STARTER RELAY

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (ACC RELAY)

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see
INITIALIZATION ).

REMOVE ACC CUT RELAY

Remove the clip

Detach the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board RH

Remove the relay

INSPECT ACC CUT RELAY

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
