DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY

Remove the intake manifold (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE WATER BYPASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

a

Disconnect the connector clamp

Remove the bolt

c

Pull out the water bypass pipe

NOTE:



Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).



After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the O-ring from the water bypass pipe

REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the air pump connector

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and air pump

DISASSEMBLY

REMOVE AIR PUMP

Remove the 3 bolts, 3 collars, 3 insulators and air pump

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
