4. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER

a. Check that the radio receiver is properly installed.

OK: Radio receiver is properly installed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. CHECK IF RADIO AUTO-SEARCH FUNCTIONS PROPERLY

a. Perform the auto-search of the radio and check that it functions normally.

OK: Radio auto-search functions normally.

2. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS

3. CHECK ANTENNA FOR NOISE PRODUCTION

a. With the ignition switch ACC, turn on the radio and choose the AM mode.

b. Place the tip of a screwdriver on the antenna and check that noise is heard from the speakers.

OK: Noise is heard.

4. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER (ANTENNA)

a. Remove the antenna plug of the radio receiver.

b. With the radio receiver connector connected, turn the ignition switch ACC.

c. Turn on the radio and choose the AM mode.

d. Place a flat-head screwdriver or a piece of metal, such as a thin wire, on the antenna jack of the

radio receiver. Check that noise is heard from the speakers.

OK: Noise is heard.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. CHECK AUDIO SETTINGS

a. Set "BASS", "MID", and "TREB" to the initial values and check that sound is normal.

OK: Malfunction disappears.

NG: Go to step 2

OK: END

2. COMPARE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE OF SAME MODEL

a. Compare the vehicle with another vehicle of the same model which does not have trouble to see if

there is any difference in the sound quality.

OK: No difference is found.

NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS
TABLE

OK: END

CELLULAR PHONE REGISTRATION FAILURE, PHONE DIRECTORY TRANSFER FAILURE

2. CHECK USING ANOTHER CELLULAR PHONE

a. Check if the system functions using another "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phone.

HINT:

Confirm that either the same or a different version of another "Bluetooth" compatible cellular
phone complies with the system.

Depending on the version, some "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phones cannot be used.

OK: The system functions.
