Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2

Check that air flows from port A to port B

If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump

REASSEMBLY

INSTALL AIR PUMP

a

Install the pump to the bracket with the 3 air pump insulators

Install the clamp

INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

NOTE:



Do not operate the air pump continuously for 2 minutes or
more.



When operating the air pump, wait 5 minutes until the
pump has cooled down between each operation. If the
pump has not cooled down sufficiently, the motor will burn
out.

INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET

a

Install the air pump inlet with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration

Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

INSTALLATION

INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

Insert the slot over the stud and bracket tab into the slot (View A)

Insert the bracket tab into the slot (View B)

NOTE:

Fully the insert hose to the stoppers.

Install the 2 nuts and bolt

Torque: for bolt

18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)

for nut

12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

Install the air injection system hose as shown in the illustration
