Standard condition:
Indicator light [D] remains illuminated for 2 seconds and then
turn off.
(e) Return the shift lever to P and terminate the Active Test on the Techstream.
(f) Using the Techstream, allow the engine to idle until the fluid temperature reaches 37 to 44°C (99 to
111°F).
HINT:
The indicator [D] will come on again when the fluid temperature reaches 37°C (99°F) and will blink if it
exceeds 44°C (111°F).

(g) Remove the overflow plug with the engine idling.
(h) Wait until the overflow slows to a trickle.
NOTICE:
If the fluid does not overflow, do the following below:
(1) Remove the refill plug.
(3) Wait until the overflow slows to a trickle.
(i) Install a new gasket and the overflow plug.
Torque:
20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15ft·lbf}
(j) Install a new gasket and the refill plug.
Torque:
39 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29ft·lbf}
6. COMPLETE
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the Techstream from the DLC3.
(c) w/ Trailer Towing System (w/ Transmission oil cooler
thermostat):
(1) Remove the pin by pushing the shaft with a screwdriver.
NOTICE:
(d) Inspect for automatic transmission fluid leak.

When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after
the cable is reconnected

Perform the Reset Memory procedures (A/T initialization) after replacing the automatic transmission

HINT:
Reset Memory cannot be completed by only reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery
terminal.

The ATF has been replaced.
HINT:
If 50000 or more is displayed for the Data List item "ATF Thermal Degradation Estimate",
a similar operation.
CAUTION:
When using compressed air, always aim away from yourself to prevent Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)
or kerosene from spraying on your face.
NOTICE:
are correctly installed into the grooves.
If a worn bushing is to be replaced, the sub-assembly containing the bushing must also be replaced.
Check the thrust bearings and races for wear or damage. Replace them if necessary.
Use petroleum jelly to keep parts in place.
When working with FIPG material, perform the following:
Using a razor blade and gasket scraper, remove all old FIPG material from the gasket surface.
Clean all components thoroughly to remove all foreign matter.
Clean both sealing surfaces with a non-residue solvent.
Apply FIPG material in a continuous line on the sealing surface.
