Accelerator Pedal
Position (APP) Sensor
The accelerator pedal position sensor has 2
sensor circuits:
Main and Sub. If either circuit malfunctions,
the ECM limits the engine output.
If both circuits malfunction, the ECM regards
the accelerator pedal as being released. As a
result, the throttle valve is closed and the
engine idles.

(a) Warm up the engine.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(e) Turn the Techstream on.
(f) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.
(g) According to the display on the Techstream, use the Data List.
