Measure the resistance between the:
EPB module C4CB01 pin 14, circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 29, circuit CCB17A
(BU/GN), harness side and ground.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new parking brake release actuator.
REFER to: Parking Brake Release Actuator (206-05
Parking Brake and Actuation, Removal and
Installation).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
No
REPAIR circuit CCB16A (WH/VT), or circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), or circuit CCB17A (BU/GN), or circuit
CCB17B (BU/GN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.
PINPOINT TEST Q : DTC C2008.12: LEFT MOTOR FAULT

Q1: CHECK THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE ACTUATOR CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO
BATTERY
Disconnect EPB Module C4CB01.

Disconnect Parking Brake Release Actuator C4CB06.
CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the
component is clean and free of foreign material.

Measure the voltage between the:
EPB module C4CB01 pin 14, circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 29, circuit CCB17A
(BU/GN), harness side and ground.

Is any voltage present?
Yes
REPAIR circuit CCB16A (WH/VT), or circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), or circuit CCB17A (BU/GN), or circuit
CCB17B (BU/GN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.
No
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs. If the DTC
remains, INSTALL a new EPB module.
REFER to: Parking Brake Module (206-05 Parking
Brake and Actuation, Removal and Installation).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
PINPOINT TEST R : DTC C2008.13: LEFT MOTOR FAULT

R1: CHECK THE EPB MODULE SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Disconnect EPB Module C4CB01.

Measure the voltage between the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 15, circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD), harness
side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to R2
.
No
REPAIR circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD). REPEAT the self-
test, CLEAR the DTCs.
R2: CHECK THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE ACTUATOR CIRCUITS CONTINUITY
Disconnect Parking Brake Release Actuator C4CB06.
CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the
component is clean and free of foreign material.

Measure the resistance between the:
EPB module C4CB01 pin 14, circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), harness side and the parking brake
release actuator C4CB07 pin 1, circuit CCB16A
(WH/VT), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 29, circuit CCB17A
(BU/GN), harness side and the parking brake
release actuator C4CB07 pin 2, circuit CCB17B
(BU/GN), harness side.

Are the resistances less than 2 ohms?
Yes
GO to R3
.
No
REPAIR circuit CCB16A (WH/VT), or circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), or circuit CCB17A (BU/GN), or circuit
CCB17B (BU/GN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.
R3: CHECK THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE ACTUATOR CIRCUITS
Measure the resistance between the:
EPB module C4CB01 pin 14, circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 29, circuit CCB17A
(BU/GN), harness side and ground.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new EPB module.
REFER to: Parking Brake Module (206-05 Parking
Brake and Actuation, Removal and Installation).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
No
REPAIR circuit CCB16A (WH/VT), or circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), or circuit CCB17A (BU/GN), or circuit
CCB17B (BU/GN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.
PINPOINT TEST S : DTC C2008.16: LEFT MOTOR FAULT

Disconnect EPB Module C4CB01.

No
REPAIR circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD). REPEAT the self-
test, CLEAR the DTCs.
S2: CHECK THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE ACTUATOR CIRCUITS
Disconnect Parking Brake Release Actuator C4CB06.
CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the
component is clean and free of foreign material.

Measure the resistance between the:
EPB module C4CB01 pin 14, circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), harness side and the parking brake
release actuator C4CB06 pin 1, circuit CCB16A
(WH/VT), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 29, circuit CCB17A
(BU/GN), harness side and the parking brake
release actuator C4CB06 pin 2, circuit CCB17B
(BU/GN), harness side.

Are the resistances less than 2 ohms?
Yes
GO to S3
.
No
REPAIR circuit CCB16A (WH/VT), or circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), or circuit CCB17A (BU/GN), or circuit
CCB17B (BU/GN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.
S3: CHECK THE EPB MODULE MOTOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT IMPEDANCE
Disconnect Rear Junction Box C4BR02.

Measure the resistance between the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 15, circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD), harness
side and the rear junction box C4BR02-C pin 303,
circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD).

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new EPB module.
REFER to: Parking Brake Module (206-05 Parking
Brake and Actuation, Removal and Installation).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
No
REPAIR circuit circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD). REPEAT the
self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
PINPOINT TEST T : DTC C2008.17: LEFT MOTOR FAULT
TEST CONDITIONS

T1: CHECK THE EPB MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT
Disconnect EPB Module C4CB01.

Measure the resistance between the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 30, circuit GD147A (BK/VT), harness
side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
GO to T2
.
No
REPAIR circuit GD147A (BK/VT). REPEAT the self-
test, CLEAR the DTCs.
T2: CHECK THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE ACTUATOR CIRCUITS
Disconnect Parking Brake Release Actuator C4CB06.
CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the
component is clean and free of foreign material.

Measure the resistance between the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 14, circuit CCB16B (WH/VT), harness
side and the EPB module C4CB01 pin 29, circuit
CCB17A (BU/GN), harness side.

Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new parking brake release actuator.
REFER to: Parking Brake Release Actuator (206-05
Parking Brake and Actuation, Removal and
Installation).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
No
REPAIR circuit CCB16A (WH/VT), or circuit CCB16B
(WH/VT), or circuit CCB17A (BU/GN), or circuit
CCB17B (BU/GN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.
PINPOINT TEST U : DTC C2008.19: LEFT MOTOR FAULT
