REPAIR circuit GD133AP (BK). TEST the system for
normal operation.
G8: CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH
AND THE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT
NOTE: Carry out the measurements on the
inoperative seat.
Measure the resistance between the:
Front left climate controlled seat C3HS03 pin 17,
circuit CHS32C (BN), harness side and the
climate controlled seat switch C3HS29 pin 2,
circuit CHS32B (BN), harness side.
or
Front right climate controlled seat C3HS08 pin
17, circuit CHS32A (BN), harness side and the
climate controlled seat switch C3HS29 pin 2,
circuit CHS32B (BN), harness side.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new climate controlled seat module and
cushion heater mat.
No
REPAIR circuit CHS32A (BN), circuit CHS32B (BN)
or circuit CHS32C (BN). TEST the system for normal
operation.
PINPOINT TEST H : A SINGLE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT IS
INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY - FRONT SEAT
NOTE: Use a digital multimeter for all electrical measurements.

H3: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT
Disconnect Inoperative Power Seat C3HS03 or
C3HS08.

NOTE: Carry out the measurements on the
inoperative seat.
While operating the climate controlled seat switch,
measure the voltage between the:
Front left climate controlled seat C3HS03 pin 9,
circuit B_CBR03A (GY), harness side and ground.
or
Front right climate controlled seat C3HS08 pin 9,
circuit B_CBR04A (VT), harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to H4

No
REPAIR circuit B_CBR03A (GY) or circuit B_CBR04A
(VT). TEST the system for normal operation.
H4: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT HEATER
MODULE
Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Inoperative Seat Heater Module.

Ignition switch in position II.

While operating the climate controlled seat switch,
measure the voltage between the inoperative seat
heater module electrical connector pin 1, (GN),
harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to H5
.
No
INSTALL a new climate controlled seat wiring
harness. TEST the system for normal operation.
H5: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT
MODULE
Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Inoperative Climate Controlled Seat
Module.

Ignition switch in position II.

While operating the climate controlled seat switch,
measure the voltage between the inoperative
climate controlled seat module pin 9, (GN), harness
side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to H6
.
No
INSTALL a new climate controlled seat wiring
harness. TEST the system for normal operation.
H6: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT
BACKREST HEATER MAT
Ignition switch in position 0.

Connect Inoperative Climate Contolled Seat
Module.

Disconnect Inoperative Front Seat Backrest Heater
Mat.

Ignition switch in position II.

While operating the climate controlled seat switch,
measure the voltage between the front seat
backrest heater mat connector pin 1, (RD/BK),
harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to H7
.
No
INSTALL a new heated seat module and cushion
heater mat. TEST the system for normal operation.
H7: CHECK THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT HEATED SEAT BACKREST
HEATER MAT FOR CONTINUITY
Ignition switch in position 0.
1
Measure the resistance between the front seat
backrest connector pin 1 (RD/BK), component side
and connector pin 2 (BK), component side.
2
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new heated seat module and cushion
heater mat. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new front seat backrest heater mat.
REFER to: Front Seat Backrest Heater Mat (501-10,
Removal and Installation).
TEST the system for normal operation.
H8: CHECK THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT FRONT SEAT CUSHION
FAN GROUND CIRCUIT
Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Inoperative Front Seat Cushion Fan.
2
Measure the resistance between the front seat
cushion fan connector pin 2, (BK), harness side and
ground.
3
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to H9
.
No
INSTALL a new climate controlled seat wiring
harness. TEST the system for normal operation.
H9: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT FRONT
SEAT CUSHION FAN
Ignition switch in position II.
1
While operating the climate controlled seat switch,
measure the voltage between the front seat
cushion fan connector pin 1, (RD), harness side and
ground.
2
Is the voltage greater than 6 volts?
Yes
INSTALL new climate controlled front seat cushion
fan. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
GO to H12

H10: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT
HEATER MODULE
Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Inoperative Front Seat Backrest Fan.

Measure the resistance between the front seat
backrest fan connector pin 2, (BK), harness side
and ground.
