CHECK the Smart Junction Box and INSTALL A NEW
ONE if required. CHECK system operates correctly
If the concern persists:
REFER to:

Communications Network

No

LOCATE AND RECTIFY the break in the voltage
supply to fuse F13 (15A) (SJB) with the aid of the
wiring diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

B4: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY OF THE LEFT-HAND FRONT FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Front fog lamp from.

Vehicles with adaptive front lighting module,
SAV5: Connector C1LF29B

All other vehicles: Connector C1LF29A

Ignition switch in position II.

Switch on the front fog lamps.

Measure the voltage between the left-hand front
fog lamp:

Vehicles with adaptive front lighting module,
SAV5: connector C1LF29B, pin 1, circuit CLF29C
(BN), wiring harness side and ground.

All other vehicles: connector C1LF29A, pin 1,
circuit CLF29D (BN), wiring harness side and
ground.

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to B5

No

GO to B6

B5: CHECK GROUND CONNECTION OF LEFT-HAND FRONT FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Measure the resistance between the left-hand front
fog lamp:

Vehicles with adaptive front lighting module,
SAV5: connector C1LF29B, pin 2, circuit GD130U
(BK/YE), wiring harness side and ground.

All other vehicles: connector C1LF29A, pin 2,
circuit GD130AU (BK/YE), wiring harness side
and ground.

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

INSTALL an new fog lamp. CHECK system operates
correctly

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
between the front fog lamp and soldered
connection SP371 using the Wiring Diagrams.
CHECK system operates correctly

B6: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY OF THE LEFT-HAND FRONT FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Smart Junction Box from connector
C1BP02A.

Measure the resistance between the Smart
Junction Box, connector C1BP02A, pin 69:

Vehicles with adaptive front lighting module,
SAV5: circuit CLF29C (BN), wiring harness side
and the left-hand front fog lamp, connector
C1LF29B, pin 1, circuit CLF29C (BN), wiring
harness side.

All other vehicles: circuit CLF29B (BN), wiring
harness side and the left-hand front fog lamp,
connector C1LF29A, pin 1, circuit CLF29D (BN),
wiring harness side.

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

INSTALL A NEW Smart Junction Box. CHECK
system operates correctly

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
between the Smart Junction Box and the front fog
lamp with the aid of the Wiring Diagrams. CHECK
system operates correctly

B7: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY OF THE RIGHT-HAND FRONT FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Front fog lamp from connector
C1LF28A.

Ignition switch in position II.

Switch on the front fog lamps.

Measure the voltage between the right-hand front
fog lamp, connector C1LF28A, pin 1, circuit

A_CLF29B (BN), wiring harness side and ground.

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to B8

No

GO to B9

.

B8: CHECK GROUND CONNECTION OF RIGHT-HAND FRONT FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Measure the resistance between the right-hand
front fog lamp, connector C1LF28A, pin 2, circuit

GD132V (BK/VT), wiring harness side and ground.

2

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

INSTALL an new fog lamp. CHECK system operates
correctly

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
between the front fog lamp and soldered
connection SP380 using the Wiring Diagrams.
CHECK system operates correctly

B9: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY OF THE RIGHT-HAND FRONT FOG LAMP FOR OPEN

CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Smart Junction Box from connector
C1BP02A.

Measure the resistance between the Smart
Junction Box, connector C1BP02A, pin 68, circuit

A_CLF29B (BN), wiring harness side and the right-
hand front fog lamp, connector C1LF28A, pin 1,
circuit A_CLF29B (BN), wiring harness side.

3

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

INSTALL A NEW Smart Junction Box. CHECK
system operates correctly

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
between the Smart Junction Box and the front fog
lamp with the aid of the Wiring Diagrams. CHECK
system operates correctly

B10: CHECK THE SHARED GROUND CONNECTION OF THE REAR FOG LAMPS FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Left-hand rear lamp unit from
connector C4LS35.

2

Measure the resistance between the left-hand rear
lamp unit, connector C4LS35, pin 2, circuit GD150P

(BK/WH), wiring harness side and ground.

3

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

CHECK the Smart Junction Box and INSTALL A NEW
ONE if required. CHECK system operates correctly
If the concern persists:
REFER to:

Communications Network

(418-00

Module Communications Network, Diagnosis and
Testing).

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
between soldered connection SP534 and ground
connection G4D149 with the aid of the Wiring
Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

B11: CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE LEFT-HAND REAR FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Left-hand rear fog lamp from connector
C4LS35.

Ignition switch in position II.

SWITCH ON the rear fog lamps.

Measure the voltage between left-hand rear fog
lamp, connector C4LS35, pin 1, circuit A_CLS45A

(BN/GN), wiring harness side and ground.

5

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to B12

No

GO to B13

B12: CHECK GROUND SUPPLY OF LEFT-HAND REAR FOG LAMP FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Measure the resistance between the left-hand rear
fog lamp, connector C4LS35, pin 2, circuit GD150P

(BK/WH), wiring harness side and ground.

2

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

INSTALL A NEW rear lamp unit. CHECK system
operates correctly

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
between the rear lamp unit and soldered
connection SP534 with the aid of the Wiring
Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

B13: CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE LEFT-HAND REAR FOG LAMP FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Smart Junction Box from connector
C1BP02B.

2

Measure the resistance between the Smart
Junction Box, connector C1BP02B, pin 39, circuit

A_CLS45B (BN/GN), wiring harness side and the
left-hand rear fog lamp, connector C4LS35, pin 1,
circuit A_CLS45A (BN/GN), wiring harness side.

3

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohm registered?
Yes

INSTALL A NEW Smart Junction Box. CHECK
system operates correctly

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit
