DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
Auxiliary Battery Charging
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Definition
The following DTCs relate to the Auxiliary Battery
Charging System:
•
DTC B1317 Battery Voltage - High
— The interface adapter assembly (IAA) module
monitors the auxiliary battery voltage at pins
75, 76 (hot at all times). If the auxiliary
battery voltage increases above 16.5 volts, the
IAA module generates DTC B1317, disables
the direct current to direct current (DC/DC)
converter, and enters a self-protecting state
similar to sleep mode. The IAA module will
reenable the DC/DC converter when the
auxiliary battery voltage decreases below
16.25 volts.
