Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY,

MOUNTING AND CABLES - F150 PICKUP .

2. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE

COOLING .

3. Remove the engine air cleaner (ACL). For additional information, refer to AIR

INDUCTION SYSTEMS .

4. Remove the upper radiator hose, the fan shroud and the lower radiator hose. For additional

information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .

5. Disconnect camshaft position sensor electrical connector.

6. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING &

HOISTING .

7. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil.

8. Disconnect the crankshaft sensor electrical connector.

9. Position the engine wiring harness aside.

10. Remove the power steering pump bracket bolts.

11. Remove the nuts and remove the power steering pump bracket.
