12. To install, reverse removal procedure. Position the accelerator pedal using the brake pedal motor, all the
way forward or backward, depending on the position of the new brake pedal. See Fig. 44 .
13. Remove the brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable from the accelerator pedal by pulling on the cable
retainer.
14. Position the brake pedal in the same position as the accelerator pedal, using the brake pedal motor.
15. Install the brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable in the accelerator pedal. See Fig. 39 .
16. To complete installation, reverse remaining removal procedures. Tighten fasteners to specification. See
TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

CAUTION: The brake pedal and the accelerator pedal must be in the same
position when installing a new cable or a new pedal. The pedals must
be in the all the way forward or all the way rearward position.
