Use extra care so that the sensors are not damaged during removal.

9. Carefully raise and remove the rear in-bed fuel tank.
Installation
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Align the identification marks on the upper in-bed fuel tank straps and tank.
NOTE:
Replace the fuel line O-ring seals.
NOTE:
Lubricate the fuel line O-ring seals with 5W3O engine oil meeting Ford
specification WSS-M2C153-G or equivalent prior to installation, to help
seal and ease the installation.
NOTE:
When tightening the fuel line, a torque wrench adapter must be used with
the torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench adapter will alter the
effective torque of the torque wrench being used. To correct the effective
torque, a torque multiplication conversion must be used; Refer to
TORQUE MULTIPLICATION CONVERSION .

Make sure that the electrical connectors are fully installed and locked in place to ensure a water-
tight seal.
