1. Description of circuit
Solenoid valve relay is an inalienable
part of EBCM. Battery voltage is
uninterruptedly transmitted to relay
switch through Terminal A and B. When
the ignition switch is on, the battery
voltage from Terminal A11 can be
provided to the relay coil. Then EBCM
will ground the relay coil circuit, turn on
the relay and provide battery voltage to
the solenoid valve and motor. So long as
the ignition switch is on, the relay will
remain on. Otherwise, the
troubleshooting code will be set up to
switch off the relay.
2. Conditions for setting up
troubleshooting codes
When the ignition switch is on and the
EBCM instructs the relay to turn on, if
the ignition voltage is bigger than 10.5V
and the voltage reduction of the relay
switch is less than 8V within ¼ second,
then troubleshooting code C0014 will
appear.
3. Actions to be taken for setting up
troubleshooting codes
Solenoid valve is instructed to be off and
there is no battery voltage on the
solenoid valves and pump motors.
ABS is off and ABS alarm lamp is on.
4. Conditions for clearing
troubleshooting codes
If the conditions for setting up
troubleshooting codes are gone,
corresponding scanning tools can be
used to clear the troubleshooting codes.
If any troubleshooting codes do not
appear for continuous 100 cycles
running, they can be eliminated from the
database.
5. Assistance to troubleshooting
Typical causes of troubleshooting code
C0014 include:
(1) Low battery voltage or discharged
battery
(2) Loosened or rusted battery terminals
(3) Ground fault of engine from battery
side
(4) Bad contact or loosening of ABS
fuse
(5) Bad contact of EBCM Terminals
A11, A, B, C
(6) Undervoltage of EBCM Terminal A
and/or B
(7) Internal failure of EBCM

1. Carry out a load test on the battery.
Refer to the provisions on battery in
the maintenance manual.
2. Check the charging coefficient.
Refer to the provisions on charger and
charging system in the maintenance
manual
3. Carry out parasitic load test.
Are the tests passed?

Solenoid valve relay
Oil pump motor
Electronic brake control
Brake pressure modulator
1. Description of circuit
The pump motor is incorporated in the
BPMV and grounded through Terminal
D of EBCM.
2. Conditions for setting up
troubleshooting codes
C0017 can only be set up with the
ignition switch turned on. The pump
motor is turned off and the EBCM
detects the ground short circuit of the
pump motor.
3. Actions to be taken during setup of
troubleshooting codes
Switch off the solenoid valve relay and
cut off the power supply to pump motor
and solenoid valve.
Save troubleshooting code C0017.
Cut off ABS and turn on ABS alarm
lamp.
4. Conditions for clearing
troubleshooting codes
If the conditions for setting up
troubleshooting code C0017 are gone,
corresponding scanning tools can be
used to clear the troubleshooting code.
If the troubleshooting code does not
appear for 100 ignition cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.
5. Assistance to troubleshooting
Typical causes of troubleshooting code
C0017 include:
